About Himalayan Nature Society

Himalayan Nature Society(HNS) is a voluntary organization registered under the Societies Registration Act 21 of 1860, behind the Forest Office in the beautiful jungle habitat of CHILGARI Forest in Dharamshala town of Kangra Valley of Himachal Pradesh, India.

Being a non-profit social organization, the Society is committed in its endeavors to protect the South West Himalayan Ecology, Hill Cultures, Tribal Tourism , Bio-Diversity issues , Policy issues & Natural Resource management issues…… and care & concern for Stray Dogs/all Life forms.

THE GOVERNING BOARD

There are five members in board of Directors including two founder members. Board have been elected every third year.

Volunteers : Local volunteers are free to join any day at their convenience.
Foreign Volunteers : Can join on request on valid VISA

We are conducting ABC surgeries and Rabies vaccinations in understanding/collaboration with MC Dharamshala.

Financial Backup : Personnel contribution of life members and other member of HNS as per the project- needs. Donations are also accepted which are exempted under section 80G, 12 A of income tax act 1961.
